I have been using the VocalEZ application for 14 months. Dictating with VocalEZ required very few changes in my dictation process, but the additional
capabilities provided for speeding up the dictation process were very helpful. The macro function lets me say one word instead of entire paragraphs; a real time saver. Also, since VocalEZ knows my schedule and presents me my list of jobs to dictate, I can always be sure that I have completed my work.

As an office manager for a busy surgical practice, I was
becoming increasingly frustrated with the amount of
errors coming in from our transcription service. For
example, patient names were being typed wrong and dates
of service were incorrect. It was taking my medical
records department extra time to go back and correct the
errors, as we have 21 surgeons in our group, and that
amounts to hundreds of documents having to be corrected
on a daily basis. We started looking into the newer
technology of voice recognition and found VocalEZ. We
were a little skeptical about the recognition rate and
wondered how well the program would pick up 21 different dialects and styles of dictating. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that the recognition rate was high and continued to get higher with every document received. VocalEZ merged well with our appointments software and electronic chart software. The IT department is available when we need them and returns our calls in a very efficient and timely manner. We have not lost any dictation with the VocalEZ program and our turn around time has increased the efficiency of our charges being turned in. VocalEZ was not just a smart decision it was a necessary one.
